These tubes have been tested with TRI Reagent® and shown to maintain structural integrity at centrifugal forces up to 14,000 g. Dimensions listed below describe external diameter and tube length. Please note that the internal diameter of centrifuge adapters should not exceed external tube diameter by more than 2 mm. The tubes can be autoclaved at temperatures up to 135 C; caps should not be autoclaved. Series A tubes have standard snap-in caps. Series B tubes have double-edge caps that reduce the hazard of phenol contamination when opening or closing tubes. The tube design allows centrifugation with caps on, assuming added length does not interfere with the rotor lid.
