Molecular Research Center, Inc., founded by P. Chomczynski, develops and manufactures innovative products for the isolation and analysis of RNA and DNA. It is a corporation " run by scientists for scientists" and we are continuously working on the development and improvement of molecular biology techniques. Beginning with the single-step method for RNA isolation we have worked to simplify nucleic acid isolation protocols while providing improved recovery and sample purity. Our patented RNA and DNA extraction techniques are recognized around the world for their performance, reliability and cost effectiveness.

P. Chomczynski and N. Sacchi's original paper, Single Step Method of RNA Isolation by Acid Guanidinium Thiocyanate Phenol Chloroform Extraction (Analytical Biochemistry, vol. 162, p.156) has been cited almost 40,000 times since its publication in 1987. This makes it the most cited paper between 1981 and 1999 as determined by the Institute for Scientific Information (who publish Science Citation Index and Journal Citation Reports). Molecular Research Center's Tri Reagent products are patented improvements on this historical method.
