Molecular Research Center, Inc., founded in 1989 by P. Chomczynski, develops and manufactures innovative products for the isolation and analysis of RNA and DNA. It is a corporation
" run by scientists for scientists" and we are continuously working on
the development and improvement of molecular biology techniques. Beginning
with the single-step method for RNA isolation we have worked to simplify nucleic
acid isolation protocols while providing improved recovery and sample purity.
Our patented RNA and DNA extraction techniques are recognized around the

P. Chomczynski and N. Sacchi's original paper, Single Step Method of RNA Isolation by Acid Guanidinium Thiocyanate Phenol Chloroform Extraction (Analytical Biochemistry, vol. 162, p.156) has been cited over 50,000 times since its publication in 1987, as determined by the Institute for Scientific Information (who publish Science Citation Index and Journal Citation Reports). The newest MRC product, RNAzol®RT, is a patent pending improvement on this historical method.
